Tour Introduction

Welcome to the Doncaster U17's rugby tour fo South Africa 2010 Blog. We're hoping to post updates on a regular basis throughout our time in South Africa so that you can follow the team every step of the way. This might include short stories, photos and match scores from our games to be played in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town.

  1. This is an excellent opportunity to feel part of the tour. I'd encourage all families, girlfriends, botfriends(?) etc. to support Harry's effort. Any comments, especially the personal messages, really lift the players spirits for each game.... and if they're really sloppy, we get to read them out in front of everyone!No embarrassment spared!

  2. hi hope you all there safely and the flight was not to bad. The "grown-ups managed some sleep wihout to much alcohol. Good luck with your first match just play like you did at Lymm and show the what "Donny" can do. !!!!

  3. Hi, just thought I'd give an update on Nick not making it on the plane yesterday!!!!
    He has another flight booked for Monday evening after hopefully getting more pages in his passport or a completely new one!!!
    He got home at 9.30 last night and heading back to London this evening. British Embassy at 7.45 in the morning so will post progress.
    Adam, hope you had a good flight and plenty of rest, Chris hope you have the feeling back in your legs!!!!

  9. Have heard we won 8-10 with the last kick of the game. Not heard if there were any injuries. Hopefully we will get an official report soon.

    29th July 1500hrs DRFC vs Bryanston Park
    1st Aug 1600hrs DRFC vs Durban & Districts
    3rd Aug 1400hrs DRFC vs Piketberg High School
    5th Aug 1500hrs DRFC vs Pearl Gimnasium
